KTVI reports that Pokemon Go is an app that utilizes enlarged reality to put pokemons in real-world places. Users can then find and gather them using a cell phone and GPS signal. The game highlights zones called pokestops, where users can get or buy things.
Pokemon GO is now a well-known cell phone application that urges users to "catch em all." But, rather than getting pokemon, some odious criminals in Missouri use it to bait casualties.
According to the O'Fallon Police Department, one pokestop in O'Fallon, Missouri, was used by four men to target casualties. The suspects set up a draw module to pull in pokemon. The bait is seen by different players, who run to the zone to catch the pokemons. Once the player lands at the territory, the men then continue to burglarize them at gunpoint.
Officers perceived the four men in a dull BMW and arrested them. They were accepted to be responsible for pretty much dozen burglaries in two Missouri areas. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that three of the associates have been charged with first degree theft and furnished criminal action. The fourth, who is a 16-year-old is in juvenile custody.
