A 22-year-old lady was professedly assaulted by an Uber driver in his vehicle in Quezon City on Wednesday evening.
The suspect, recognized just as Xstian Karlou John Marie, grabbed the lady at Camp Crame and should convey her to Katipunan Avenue, said Police Officer 2 Charito Desmaya, case investigator.
Marie supposedly grasped the lady, constrained her to hold his private parts, then pulled her hair and constrained her to perform oral sex on him until she got away, Desmaya said.
The assault professedly happened while the vehicle, with tag number ARA-3101, was along Katipunan Avenue at around 2:30 p.m., Desmaya said.
LTFRB ponders repudiating establishment
In the interim, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board - LTFRB - needs Uber to clarify why its establishment ought not be scratched off after one of its drivers purportedly assaulted a traveler.
LTFRB member Ariel Inton said the organization will arrange Marie to go to a hearing one week from now.
Inton said that they are presently leading an investigation to decide the whereabouts of the driver, who is on the loose.
Uber, in an announcement issued yesterday, said the driver has been expelled from its stage.
